Sample Management

If you want to streamline the management of sample repositories and associated data, SLIMS can help you do it. With the sample management module you are able to manage the logistics of your lab.

2019-06-25T08:08:39+00:00

Galaxy Integration

The Galaxy Platform is fully integrated with SLIMS. Feel free to design your custom workflows on Galaxy and use them directly within the SLIMS workflow module. Import and export data and files with Galaxy to retrieve the results and store everything in SLIMS. No need to manually download your files between different analysis platforms. Everything is managed by SLIMS!

2019-06-25T08:09:28+00:00

Electronic signature

SLIMS supports electronic signatures on orders and results, and allows you to sign-off in experiment. Electronic signatures are recorded in the audit-trail and can be used in regulated environments.

2019-06-25T08:09:43+00:00

Excel Import/Export

Easily Import and Export data in SLIMS with Excel. With SLIMS you can export all the relevant information you need to excel.

2019-06-25T08:04:33+00:00

Permissions Management

Permissions in SLIMS can be configured in all details needed by your internal organization. Access to samples and experiments can be granted to single users or group of users working on the same project.

2019-06-26T15:08:10+00:00

Barcodes and Labels printers

SLIMS contains a tool to design your own labels which will contain the barcodes for your samples or any other item. Multiple features in SLIMS allows to directly scan a barcode to register a sample or to reduce the manual interaction with SLIMS. SLIMS supports:

  • Zebra Label Printers,
  • Brady Label Printers
  • PrintMate AS Cassette Printer

2019-06-25T07:52:34+00:00

Data Visualization

With the dynamic results in SLIMS you can enter your measure day after day and visualize the result in a graph with a simple click. You can even choose your graph design if you prefer bar graphs over lines and many others including (lines, bars, pies, doughnuts, radars, etc).

2019-06-26T15:13:14+00:00

Sequencers Integration

SLIMS supports easy sample sheet creation and export, plate design and management of sequencing files from a panel of different sequencers, including MiSeq, HiSeq and others.

2019-06-25T07:51:04+00:00

Protocols

As part of SOPs, protocols in SLIMS help to organize and define the information recorded during tasks performed in the lab.

2019-06-25T07:49:54+00:00

Macros

Use macros in SLIMS to automate repetitive tasks. Combine existing basic actions as create, link and derive content, for generic data manipulation.

2019-06-26T15:12:32+00:00

Custom Fields

With SLIMS you can store all your important metadata using custom fields. Custom fields can be restricted to specific sample types or to give experiment steps for example, according to your customization needs.

2019-06-25T07:46:36+00:00

Electronic Lab Notebook

The Electronic Lab Notebook (ELN) module of SLIMS enables a digital and interactive note-taking and a step by step follow-up of experiments. He has a full featured rich text editor that provides users with the ability to create and record all type of documentation within the system.

2019-06-26T15:36:12+00:00

Authentication

SLIMS provides an internal authentication method but can also integrate with the following authentication providers:

  • LDAP
  • OAuth with Google and Okta
  • Agilent OpenLab Shared Services
OpenLab Shared Services user accounts can be created and used to login to SLIMS if this authentication method is configured. Authentication with OpenLab Shared Services also allows connectivity to Agilent OpenLabs CDS 2.0. for chromatography integration.

2019-06-25T07:45:24+00:00

Balance Integration

SLIMS can integrate with Mettler-Toledo balances, and for instance send a request to a to get weight value results on tests: the user can click the SLIMS GATE button and get the measurement from the balance through a generic SLIMS GATE plugin.

2019-06-25T07:38:28+00:00

Views

Make it easier for users to find specific records by creating various saved views that filter for record type or status, that make abnormal results pop with custom highlighting, and more, like sorting, filtering, defining the visible columns, and grouping.

2019-06-25T07:38:03+00:00

Containers

Containers can be managed in SLIMS: you can register an empty container and fill it with a sample later. Containers have a unique identifier, a location, and can have association with a lot number and an expiration date. (examples: Tubes, Vials)

2019-06-25T07:38:51+00:00

Flags

Flags can be created and assigned to samples moving through a workflow. These are used to make the samples more visible, but also to control the consequences of a flag, like forcing the sample to be requeued or preventing it from moving through particular protocols.
