Genohm visited Nice, France at the Université Côte d’Azur to host a lecture on Data Management and Biobanking.

The lecture consisted of theoretical information about the importance of data management, a brief history of biobank development, and discussion about what makes a biobank successful. The next part moved from a discussion with students about their experiences to a technical presentation of how SLIMS can be used as an obligatory tool for managing biobank samples and experiments. A complete biobank workflow was demonstrated from patient registration to kit creation, sample collection, storage and reception.

Genohm was happy to accept an annual invitation to lecture on similar topics in the future.
