Ghent (Belgium), 2016.05.13: A team of Genohm developers has participated to the 2016 edition of the Flemish Programming Contest, VPW2016, and has finished in third place in the Category 4.

The 2016 edition of the Vlaamse Programmeerwedstrijd, VPW2016, was the 8th edition of the contest for developers. Inspired by the international programming contests of the Association for Computing Machinery and held at the Technologiecampus of KU Leuven-Limburg in Diepenbeek, Belgium, the competition is based on a simple concept: Teamwork. A team of three developers has one laptop and three hours to write five programs: pure adrenaline for a pure intellectual challenge!

Ruben and Sion from the Ghent team participated to the contest this year. They were part of the Jo Bonten Fanclub team and competed in the Category 4 which was formed by teams of masters students (college or university), doctoral students, graduates and professionals. As high programming skills and teamwork are required to accomplish all the tasks of the contest, it is no surprise that the Jo Bonten Fanclub team finished third in its category. Congratulations to Ruben and Sion for their performance.
